We’re incredibly fortunate to live where the story of American independence began. As the 250th anniversary of the Battles of Lexington and Concord approaches, our communities are coming together to remember and honor the events that sparked a revolution and helped shape a nation.



Upcoming Events:

📍 Lexington:

  • Reenactment of Paul Revere's Midnight Ride 🗓️ April 18, 2025 | 10 PM📍 Hancock-Clark House Lexington was preparing for battle long before British soldiers arrived on April 19th, 1775. The day before, Paul Revere and William Dawes, fellow Sons of Liberty, rode hard from Boston, arriving in town just before midnight. Their destination: the home of Reverend Jonas Clarke, cousin to patriot leader John Hancock. Their mission: To warn John Hancock and Samuel Adams of the impending British raid. Their arrival would start the chain of events leading to armed rebellion on Lexington Green at dawn the next day.

  • Battle of Lexington Reenactment🗓️ April 19, 2025 | 5:30 AM – 7:00 AM📍 Lexington Battle Green Witness the reenactment of the first shots fired in the quest for American independence. More information on events in Lexington, MA - more info

📍 Concord:

  • Colonel James Barrett House Open House🗓️ April 13, 2025 | 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM Explore the home of Colonel Barrett, a key figure in the Revolutionary War, and learn about the military preparations of 1775.

  • Patriot Vigil at North Bridge🗓️ April 17, 2025 | 7:45 PM – 8:30 PM Join a lantern-light procession to honor those who fought for freedom.

  • Battle Road Tactical Demonstration🗓️ April 19, 2025 Experience a full day of living history programs and demonstrations along the historic Battle Road.

📍 Billerica:

  • History on the Common 🗓️ April 13, 2025 | 11:00 AM A ceremony to honor the Billerica soldiers who lost their lives in the Revolutionary War. The ceremony will include capping the liberty pole and firing black powder muskets.

  • Muster of Captain Edward Farmer's Militia Company 🗓️ April 19, 2025 | 5:00 AM - 5:30 AM Witness a recreation of the mustering of Captain Edward Farmer's Militia Company as they march to Concord for the defense of their homes against the British forces marching from Boston.  Presented by the Billerica 250th Committee.
